ChamberStudio has been created to provide an inspiring year-round base where chamber groups can be supported as they develop and establish themselves in the fragile early stages of their careers.
It is a meeting place not just for the groups playing in the masterclasses, but also for the chamber musicians who are teaching on the scheme, some of whom are visiting from abroad to give concerts in the UK and are including coaching at Kings Place in their schedule.
I am indebted to Peter Millican for supporting the concept of ChamberStudio from the outset by providing the fantastic rehearsal spaces at Kings Place.
My sincere gratitude also goes to Simon and Pamela Majaro at Cavatina, whose generosity, enthusiasm and experienced advice gave me the confidence to develop the project when it was just an idea.
The Richard Carne Trust has given generous financial support to many of the outstanding young groups taking part at ChamberStudio. Philip Carne’s enthusiastic and energetic input to ChamberStudio has been invaluable.
I am very grateful to the many other individuals whose generous donations to ChamberStudio have made it possible to keep the cost of the masterclasses affordable.
