Some of the world’s finest chamber music players and teachers give Masterclasses at ChamberStudio. Ensembles accepted onto the scheme design, in consultation with Artistic Director Richard Ireland, their own Study Programmes consisting of a set of three-hour coaching sessions with their chosen ChamberStudio Professor. These are held at Kings Place on weekday evenings and weekend afternoons. Most sessions are open, and free, to observers and offer a fascinating insight into the art of chamber music performance.
Special guests, who have given stand-alone masterclasses in Hall One at Kings Place, have included Sir András Schiff, Steven Isserlis and Shmuel Ashkenasi.
As part of our Visiting Professor Series we have welcomed Ferenc Rados, Rita Wagner, Eberhard Feltz and Erich Höbarth, among others.
