Mentorship 2013 – latest news

Eberhard Feltz photoSince we announced the recipient of our inaugural Mentorship – supported by the Musicians Benevolent Fund – the Navarra String Quartet has had its first coaching sessions with Endellion Quartet ‘cellist David Waterman, and with Berlin-based chamber Professor violinist Eberhard Feltz, during the first of his four special visits to London

“It was wonderful to begin our ChamberStudio Mentorship with David Waterman. We worked together on Beethoven, whose literature is of course integral to every string quartet’s being. With David’s wealth of experience in string quartet life, he gave us an incredible insight into this unique form of chamber music and inspiration for our own artistic development.”

“Sunday [7th April] was a truly wonderful day spent with Eberhard who never ceases to amaze us! His mystical understanding of any score and vivid imagination is always reinvigorating and a true inspiration” – Navarra Quartet

You can find out more about David Waterman and Eberhard Feltz here and about the Mentorship itself here. And if you would like to support the Navarra Quartet by attending one of their concerts you can view their diary here.
