Hans Keller Forum 2nd Residency

2-4 Jan
Hans Keller Forum
Closed to the public

Chamber Studio’s Hans Keller Forum continues its fourth season, bringing together the UK’s brightest young chamber ensembles for three days of immersive coaching, rehearsal, and collaboration in Cambridge.

The Second Residency sees the ensembles working closely with John Myerscough, cellist of the acclaimed Doric Quartet, and Artistic Director. Across the residency, participants will delve into core chamber repertoire, refining both their ensemble skills and interpretive voices under John and Donald’s expert mentorship.

For audiences, the open masterclasses offer a rare glimpse into the creative process, as young ensembles shape their sound and ideas in real time with one of today’s leading chamber musicians.

Ensembles 2025/26
The ensembles taking part this season are:

Trio Musae was formed in 2024 by young, passionate musicians studying at the Royal College of Music in London.

Now in their second undergraduate year, they have performed across London and participated in masterclasses with artists including Darragh Morgan and Simon Callaghan.

Highlights include their debut at St James’s Piccadilly, organising a Women’s Day concert, and appearances at St George’s Hanover Square, St John’s Fulham, and the inaugural Royal College of Music Strings Festival. Upcoming performances include recitals at Westminster Library and St James’s Sussex Gardens.

The trio is supported by Talent Unlimited and has been named Chamber Studio Hans Keller Artists for 2025/26.

The Juna Quartet are a Manchester based ensemble studying at the Royal Northern College of Music. Since forming in 2022, they have enjoyed playing various recitals and were particularly excited to perform at the Wigmore Hall in May.

During their studies the quartet have been fortunate to win four prizes including, most recently, the Christopher Rowland Ensemble of the Year Audience Prize 2025. They are very excited to have been appointed one of the RNCM’s Studio Quartets for 2025-26.

Audiences often comment on the ensemble’s bubbly dynamic, and the friendship which they keep at the heart of their music making.

The Florens Quartet, formed in 2023 at the Guildhall School, have benefited from coaching with members of ensembles such as the Brodsky, Chilingirian, Endellion, and Heath Quartets.

In 2025, they won the St James String Ensemble Prize at Guildhall, earning them an invitation to perform at the ECTA conference in Tallinn. The quartet have given numerous recitals in London and the UK in venues including St James Piccadilly, Qube Elephant, and St George’s Hanover Square.

They are excited to have been chosen for this year’s Hans Keller Forum, and look forward to the specialised chamber music mentorship they will receive.

This is a past event.
