Hans Keller Series at Burgh House
As part of a new artistic partnership between Chamber Studio and Burgh House, this series provides graduates of the Hans Keller Forum for an extended period of study, rehearsal and performance….

Chamber Studio’s residency at Fairlight Hall, in partnership with Hastings International Piano, offers string quartets and piano trios the opportunity to spend concentrated time developing their work through intensive rehearsal, coaching and performance.
Set in the Sussex countryside, Fairlight Hall is a sprawling estate which provides a focused yet expansive environment for ensembles to step away from their usual routines and dedicate sustained time to their musical development. The residency creates space for detailed work on repertoire, experimentation and discussion, allowing quartets to explore their musical ideas and strengthen their identity as an ensemble.
During the residency, participating quartets will work closely with Chamber Studio’s Artistic Director, Donald Grant and renowned cellist, Marie Bitlloch, through intensive coaching tailored to the needs of each group.
The residency culminates in a performance at Fairlight Hall, giving the quartets an opportunity to share the work developed during their time together and to bring their ideas into performance.
Through its partnership with Hastings International Piano, the residency forms part of Chamber Studio’s ongoing commitment to supporting the development of chamber ensembles, providing musicians with the time, expertise and platform to develop their distinctive artistic voices and reach new audiences.
Participating Ensembles and Repertoire TBA.
