Join Rakhi Singh (Artistic Director, Manchester Collective), jazz pianist Fergus McCreadie and Chamber Studio Artistic Director Donald Grant for a course exploring collaborative and experimental approaches to chamber music.
Alongside coaching on core chamber repertoire, the course will explore improvisation, contemporary music, folk music, arranging and composing, collaboration and programming, as well as some of the practical aspects of creating and developing an ensemble, including marketing and self-promotion.
There will be opportunities to play alongside the course mentors and to collaborate with other participating ensembles.
The course is primarily intended for existing ensembles, but we may also be able to accommodate a small number of individual players who are members of ensembles but whose full group is unable to attend.
